Christos Vasilopoulos was born in Athens and has studied and qualified as a Mechanical Engineer from National Technical University of Athens. In 1997 Christos obtained PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Ecole Centrale de Lyon.
In 2000 Christos joined Cosmote Telecommunications SA as Mechanical Engineer in E/M Works Section and later on as a Manager in Buildings Construction Section. He was involved in various constructions projects of COSMOTE Group in Greece and abroad and has managed numerous energy saving projects concerning Buildings, Shops and Network infrastructure.
From November 2013 Christos is working in Major Works Management Division of OTEestate S.A. as the head of Critical Sites Operation Section. Energy savings aspects and upgrade of the inner conditions in offices in OTE Group Buildings are some of the main goals.
OTE Estate S.A., is a subsidiary of OTE S.A. which has contributed its entire real estate property with a view to its optimum management and development.
The breaking away of OTE’s real estate sector and its transfer to OTE Estate has been the first largest corporate transformation ever to take place in Greece. This project has been of unique significance in business history and an innovate one for Greek standards. It was, however, extremely laborious due to the form, extent, complexity and particularities of the transferred real estate portfolio.
OTE Estate entered into full business activity in June 2003 when the ownership of the real estate portfolio was transferred to it. Until that time the company acted solely as a consultant to OTE S.A. under a Management Contract.
