Section 3 – THE BUSINESS CASE FOR SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGS IN GREECE
Technical Director
Liana Kyriopoulou is the Technical Director of Grivalia Properties. She is serving the Company providing Technical Advisor’s services since 2007 and she joined the management team in September 2014. Together with her team, she is responsible for all technical issues relating to the existing portfolio and the new investment projects of the Company.
Prior to joining Grivalia, she held the position of Technical Director in Banking Institutions and a Property Services Companies, thus gaining valuable experience in Technical Due Diligence and Project Management Services.
Liana holds a PhD in Town and Urban Planning from Paris XII Creteil University, an MSc in Real Estate and Valuations from the Independent Science & Technology College (IST) and an MEng in Architecture from the University of Florence. She is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Grivalia Properties REIC is the leading Greek Real Estate Investment Company and amongst the 20 strongest companies in the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE).
The Company’s shareholder base consists of large and reputable institutional investors, such as Fairfax Financial Holdings, Wellington Management Company, Fidelity Management and Research, as well as Eurobank Group.
The Company manages assets of approximately one billion euro, including a real estate portfolio of 75 assets, the majority of which are located in Greece. It also owns two commercial properties in Serbia and three in Romania. The total size of the portfolio is 619,508 square meters, leased to high profile tenants such as: Eurobank Group, the Greek State, Praktiker Hellas, Marinopoulos Group, L’ Oreal, Abbott, M&S, MSD, H&M, Tetrapak, e.t.c.
Grivalia aims at maximizing existing portfolio profitability and growth, at maintaining high levels of liquidity in order to be able to exploit secure and profitable investment opportunities and at maintaining satisfactory return levels for its shareholders. To achieve the said goals, the Company relies on its significant comparative advantages, namely its management team, expertise, high credibility, solvent shareholders and its partnerships with leading business groups.
Sustainability conscious towards its business activity, the Company is proceeding with a series of projects that involve the energy efficiency upgrading of its portfolio of assets towards environmental certification by renowned international organizations.
